Mrs. Lois Eleanor Sauls Hawkins, of Co-op Road, near Hampton passed away Friday morning, September 22, 2023, at her residence after an extended illness.
Mrs. Hawkins was born November 09, 1940, a daughter of the late Amos Murray Sauls and Alice Luzell Fennell Sauls. She worked with the Smoaks Sewing Room and loved working with her flowers and in her yard.
Surviving are: Son John Thomas Moseley, Jr. and wife Diane of Varnville; Daughter: Connie Lois Nix of Hampton; Brother: Amos Murray Sauls, Jr. of Hampton; 8 Grandchildren, numerous Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews. Mrs. Hawkins was predeceased by her parents, a son, William "Randy" Moseley, two grandchildren, Joseph Scott Nix and Richard Everette Moseley, sisters, Rosa Mildred Sauls, Lula Vinnie Sue Rotzell, Dorothy Louise Donehue, and Alice Luzell Jarrell.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial in the Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery, conducted by Elder Robert Dobson. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, 300 Mulberry Street West, Hampton.
