Lisa Michele Mixon

Mrs. Lisa Michele Mixon, 57, of First Street East in Hampton, died Monday morning, June 17, 2024, in Walterboro.

Born July 26, 1966, in Hampton County, she was the daughter of Mary Lee Ashworth and the late William Edward Peeples. Mrs. Mixon was a homemaker and will be remembered for the strong love she had for her family.

Surviving are her sons: Richard David Pope, Jr. and his wife Brittany of Hampton, and David Cameron Pope of Jacksonville, FL; her daughter: Kristina Michele Barnes and her husband James of Garnett; her sisters: Tammy Angerer of Walterboro, Annette Merkey of Walterboro, and Faye Barton of Midway, GA. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren.

In addition to her father, Mrs. Mixon was predeceased by her husband, Jimmy "Chief" Mixon.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, June 21, 2024, in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Johnston-St. Paul Cemetery in Hampton.

A visitation will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 5 PM – 8 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Hampton Chapel located at 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924.

Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the Mixon family during this time.
