Mrs. Linda Jarrell DuBois, 84, of 3rd Street East in Estill, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 22, 2024 at the Hampton Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.

Born July 23, 1940, in Hampton County, Mrs. DuBois was a daughter of the late Oregon Thomas "Orrie" Jarrell and Enice Lightsey Jarrell. She worked for 33 years as a bookkeeper for Lawton Oil Company but most importantly was a homemaker, who will be remembered by her family for her "homebody" nature and strong love. Mrs. DuBois loved to garden and was known for working in her flower beds until recently. She dearly loved her family and cherished the many beloved pets she had over the years.

Mrs. DuBois was a member of Furman Baptist Church in Furman.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, J.W. DuBois, of the home, who she married on October 11, 1959; two daughters: Mylinda D. Nettles of Scotia and Bonnie D. Smiley (Danny) of Beaufort; her grandchildren: Tony Nettles of Estill, Amanda Nettles (Rob) of Varnville, Trey Smiley (Sarah Beth) of Beaufort, Caleb Smiley (Lauryn) of Beaufort, and Sara Salazar (Josh) of Beaufort; her great-grandchildren: Morgan, Walker, Gage, Chandler, Ava, Carter, Brooks, Oliver, Lennon, and Sullivan, and three sisters: Martha Smith of Beaufort, Geraldine Skinner of Varnville, and Beverly Cave of Lexington.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother: Jimmy Jarrell; two sisters: Betty Fincher and Gloria Sineath, and a son-in-law, Jamie Nettles.

Graveside Services will be held 11 AM, Monday, August 26, 2024, in the Lawtonville Cemetery in Estill conducted by Rev. Brian Toney.

The family asks that those who wish may send memorials to Furman Baptist Church, P.O. Box 147 Furman, SC 29921 or the Lawtonville Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 200, Estill, SC 29918.
