Mr. Lincoln Charles Garman, II, 65, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 13, 2025, after a valiant battle against cancer and kidney failure.
Born July 1, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of Dennis Eugene Garman and Rose Ann Catherine Vagedes Garman. Lincoln resided in Ridgeland, SC after his lifetime of work as a machinist and journeyman tool and die maker. Outside of his professional life, Lincoln was an avid collector of vintage tools, coins, and other collectibles. He was also a talented artist who found peace and expression through drawing and sketching.
Surviving are his parents, Dennis E. Garman and Rose Ann Garman of Hampton, his sisters: Lisa Longueville (Thierry) of Moncks Corner, Denise Schumann (John) of Wilmington, NC, Jeanne Seckinger (BoBo) of Hampton; one brother: Mitchell Garman of Summerville; nieces and nephews: Katie and Michael Longueville, Cara and Cole Schumann, Jade Lee (Jason), and Jared Seckinger (Crystal). There are also several great nieces and nephews.
Lincoln's fierce determination to live defied the odds and allowed his family several months of time with him. The family would like to thank his medical team at Sprenger Healthcare in Okatie, SC and MiraSol Hospice of the Lowcountry.
Lincoln was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Lincoln Charles Garman and Nellie Lee Garman, and his maternal grandparents, Frank Vagedes and Henrietta Vagedes.
A private Mass will be held at 3 PM Friday, March 21, 2025, in St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 703 5th St. E., Hampton, SC 29924. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish send memorials in Lincoln's memory to an animal shelter of one's choice.
Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the Garman family during this time.
