Leroy Franklin Johnson, Iii

Mr. LeRoy "PeeWee" Franklin Johnson, III, 66, of Hadwin Circle in Brunson, died Saturday evening, July 13, 2019 in the Medical University Hospital in Charleston.

Mr. Johnson was born January 14, 1953 in Hampton County, a son of the late LeRoy Franklin Johnson, Jr. and Lillian Teresa Phillips Johnson.  He was a carpenter and had worked with his brother for many years.  He enjoyed woodworking and made many items for his immediate family.  He had attended the Nixville Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving are his wife, Debra Jean Dyer Johnson of Brunson; son: Timothy Dyer of Clyo, Georgia; daughters: Jamie Wade of Orangeburg and Kathy Martin of Oliver, Georgia; brothers:  Michael Johnson of Nixville and Steven Johnson of Varnville; and one sister:  Shirley Diane Johnson of Nixville.  There are eight grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday in the Lawtonville Cemetery in Estill conducted by Rev. Michael Fredrickson.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
