Mrs. Leah Evelyn Hadwin Tuten of Scotia, widow of Rev. William Barney Tuten Sr., passed early Sunday morning at her residence.

Mrs. Tuten was born Sept. 28, 1937 in Crocketville, a daughter of the late Grover Wilson Hadwin and Lottie Priester Hadwin. She was a Bookkeeper working with the family business, and also supporting her husband's Ministry. She was a member of the West End Baptist Church.

Surviving are: Son: William Barney Tuten Jr. of Scotia and friend Terry Futch Harriott of Early Branch; Daughter: Jeanine Tuten Hodge and husband "R. P." of Brunson; Sister: Reba Robertson and husband Otis Lee of Summerville; and a Sister in Law: Elizabeth D. Hadwin of Hampton; Grandchildren: Joshua Cooke "Kali", Matthew Cooke "Kendyl", Jeremy Hodge, Jonathan Hodge "Kayli", Justin Hodge, Lindsay Tuten, and William Barney Tuten III; and Eight Great Grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Dennis Cooke of Bluffton.

Mrs. Tuten was predeceased by her husband; Daughter: Debbie T. Cooke; and two Brothers: Grover Hadwin Jr. and Otis H. Hadwin.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Wednesday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. R. P. Hodge, with burial in the Robertville Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon from 5 to 7 P.M. at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
