Laura Padgett Manning

Mrs. Laura Padgett Manning of Hopewell Road near Hampton, died Tuesday in the Agape Hospice House in Lexington.

Mrs. Manning was born in Barnwell County, February 12, 1947, a daughter of Irene Grubbs Padgett and the late Raymond Padgett.  She had retired from the Probate Judge's Office in Hampton County as a Clerk after 15 years of service.  She was a seamstress and enjoyed working with crafts.

Surviving besides her mother of Hampton are:  Daughter:  Teresa Manning Tuten and husband Richard of Estill;  One half brother:  Raymond Padgett of Colorado; and three grandchildren:  Erik, Rachel and Leah.  Mrs. Manning was predeceased by: her husband, Milton "Bo" Manning and a brother, Earl Padgett.

Graveside services will be 3 P.M. Friday in the Johnson St. Paul Cemetery in Hampton conducted by Rev. Michael Frederickson and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.

Visitation will follow at the cemetery after the service.
