Kayla Arlene Breland

Miss Kayla Arlene Breland, 26, of Brandy Lane near Nixville, died unexpectedly early Monday morning, April 13, 2020,  from injuries received during the tornado.

Miss Breland was born October 12, 1993 in Beaufort, a daughter of the late Jim Brian Breland and Donna Marie Ginn Breland.  She worked as a child care provider.  She was a member of Nixville Baptist Church where she enjoyed working with children.  She also enjoyed working with arts and crafts.

Surviving are her sister:  Ashley Breland Lerch of Nixville; paternal grandmother: Shirley Simmons of Varnville; maternal grandmother: Marie Ginn of Nixville; uncles:  David Ginn and wife Kathy of Nixville, Timmy Ginn and wife Angie of Nixville and Raymond Breland of Varnville; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Byrtie Breland and her maternal grandfather Herman Ginn.  Her parents Jim and Donna Breland also died that morning in the tornado.

In consideration of the state and national emergency that currently exists with the coronavirus pandemic, and with the health and well-being of their friends and community in mind, funeral services will be held privately.  Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
