Katherine Johnson

Mrs. Katherine Nettles Johnson, 72, of Wadley Street in Scotia, died Friday evening, June 4, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Johnson was born December 21, 1948 in Beaufort County, a daughter of the late Grover and Katie Shaffer Nettles.  She was a homemaker and spent her time caring for her family and friends.

Surviving is her husband, Billy Johnson of Scotia; her daughter, Becky Figueroa and fiance' Terry Mauldin of Scotia; and her grandchildren, Christopher Figueroa and wife Lori of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Nicholas Figueroa and wife Taylor of Walterboro.  Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her parents and a grandson, Matthew Figueroa.

Memorial services will be 11 AM Friday, June 11, 2021 at Lebanon Cemetery near Scotia, conducted by Dr. Shirley Dempsey, Chaplain and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.
