BARNWELL: Mrs. Karen Mock Thames of Bomway Street in Barnwell, died Monday afternoon at her residence in Barnwell.
Mrs. Thames was born March 31, 1958 in Hampton County, a daughter of the late Bobby Mock and Gladys Ward Mock. She was the former Manager at the Texaco Station in Hampton, and later the Video House also also in Hampton before she moved and settled in Barnwell. She had retired and enjoyed spending her time with her family members.
Surviving are: Her husband: James Albert Thames of Barnwell; Sons: Chris and Nicholas Mock both of Barnwell; Daughters: Pamela Simmons of Hampton, Shannon Rivers of Barnwell, and Amy Rivers of Ehrhardt; and Four Grandchildren: Karen Rivers, Kayla Mock, Clint Mock, and Christopher Mock; and many Great Grandchildren.
Mrs. Thames was predeceased by her parents; one son: George Rivers III; two brothers: Danny and James Mock; and one sister: Bobbie Dobson.
Funeral services will be 11 A. M. Thursday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial in the Varnville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening at the Funeral Home, located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton from 5 to 7 P. M.
