Joyce Wier

HAMPTON :     Mrs. Joyce Pauline Dobson Wier of Shaw Drive in Hampton, died Friday July 28th in the Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah.

Mrs. Wier was born July 22, 1947 in Hampton County, a daughter of the late Ernest and Lillie Maude Tuten Dobson. She retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation as an Administrative Assistant, and was a member of the Luray Christian Church.  She enjoyed working with crafts, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Wier was the widow of William B. Wier.

Surviving are: Son: Cary Collins and wife Misty of Brunswick, Georgia; Daughters: Kim Henderson and husband Woody of Charleston, and Julie Collins of Hampton; Sisters: Linda Braxton of Maryville, Tennessee, and Ernestine Glynn of Hampton; and Six Grandsons: Jacob, Harrison, Seth, Miles, Logan and Liam.

Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Wednesday in the Luray Christian Church, conducted by Rev. Jack Diamond, with burial in the Beech Branch Cemetery, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Funeral Home, located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
