Joyce Kathleen Deloach

Mrs. Joyce Kathleen Norton DeLoach of Hopewell Road near Hampton, died Wednesday morning at her residence.

Mrs. DeLoach was born in Estill, February 26, 1933, a daughter of the late Carl Martin Norton and Kathleen Hall Norton.  She had graduated from Winthrop College, and had taught school in Allendale County, Hampton County and Patrick Henry Academy for a total of 41 years.  She had attended Hopewell Baptist Church, and was a former member of Hampton First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a Choir Member, but was presently a member of the Lawtonville Baptist Church in Estill.

She was the widow of John E. "Sonny" DeLoach.

Surviving are:  Daughters:  Sharon DeLoach Mathis and husband Terry of North Augusta, and Julie DeLoach Peeples and husband Van III of Hampton;  Sister:  Judy Norton Rivers of Estill;  and Grandchildren:  Melissa Whitlock and husband Jamie, Jason Mathis, Jesse Peeples, and Joye Peeples and 2 great grandsons.

Visitation will be Friday at the Lawtonville Baptist Church in Estill from 1 to 2 P.M. prior to services at the Church.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Friday in the Lawtonville Baptist Church, with burial in the Hopewell Cemetery, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.
