Joseph "Joey" Altman

Mr. Joseph "Joey" Altman of Daley Road in Scotia died Monday in Scotia after a brief illness.

Mr. Altman was born in Hampton County, December 9, 1958, a son of the late George and Audrey Rushing Altman.  He had worked as a Broadcaster with W.B.H.C. Radio Station in Hampton for many years and was a member of the Steep Bottom Baptist Church.  He was a talented musician and played several instruments and also, was a vocalist.

Surviving are:  Sister-in law, Frances Altman of Brunson; 2 nieces, 1 nephew and several cousins.

Graveside services will be 11 A.M. Saturday in the Union Cemetery near Scotia, conducted by Rev. Barney Tuten and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.

Visitation will be immediately following the services at the cemetery.
