Jon Light

Mr. Jon Michael Light, 61, husband of Melissa Mosley Light and resident of Sandy Run Road, died early Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at his residence.

Born April 17, 1965, in Indiana, Jon was the son of the late Enoch Burton “Sonny” Light and Rosann Merriott Light. He worked as a mechanic and in paint & body most of his life. Jon deeply enjoyed his work, taking much pride in it; loved guns, and loved “hot rods”. Most importantly, he loved his family . . . especially his children and grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Melissa Verleen Mosley Light, of the home, are his sons, Cody Light and Brandon Light, both of Brunson; a brother, Joel Light of Appleton, and eleven grandchildren: Jayden, Natalie, Bryan, Landon, Joshua, Logan, Aubree, Conor, Colson, Bentley, and Matthew.

In addition to his parents, Jon was predeceased by a daughter, Brittany Light, and several siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

The family requests that those who wish reach out to them for memorial contributions.
