Johnny Lee Priester

Mr. Johnny Lee Priester, 76, husband of Libby Priester, of Country Club Road in Hampton, SC, passed away Tuesday evening, July 2, 2024, at his home.

Mr. Priester was born October 12, 1947, in Hampton and was the son of the late Gladys Priester. He retired from Westinghouse in Hampton after 38 years of service. Mr. Priester will be remembered as a passionate animal lover who considered his toy poodles, Milly and Tiny, to be members of his family. Many people looked forward to seeing Mr. Priester take his girls, Milly and Tiny, for a ride each day in his silver Toyota Tacoma. He was also an avid lover of old school country music and Elvis Presley.

Mr. Priester was a member of The First Christian Church of Hampton.

Surviving are his loving wife of 31 years, Mrs. Elizabeth "Libby" Stanley Priester, of the home; his dear friend and sister-in-law: Lydia Cook of Varnville, and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Graveside Services will be 11 AM Saturday, July 6, 2024, in the St. Paul Cemetery located on Country Club Road in Hampton, conducted by Rev. Mike Freeman and Rev. Clark Cregger.

Pallbearers will be John Stanley, Dalton Hadwin, Dakota Hadwin, Michael Stanley, Michael Cook, Austin Stanley, and Marty Jeffcoat.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations in Mr. Priester's memory to be made to The First Christian Church, 400 Holly St. W., Hampton, SC.

Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the Priester family during this time.
