John Willis Terry

Mr. John Willis Terry Jr. of Bamberg Highway near Hampton, died Friday evening at his residence.

Mr. Terry was born April 8, 1953 in Hampton County, a son of the late Willis E. Terry and Bernice Bennett Terry. He was a Carpenter, and also a Base Player for several Bands in the Lowcountry area. He had attended Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving are: Sisters: Elaine King (Larry Jarrell) of Hampton, Trudy Murdaugh (Donald) of Hampton, and Gretta Terry of Hampton; Step Sons: Josh Davis of Columbia, and Preston Garrick of Laurens; Step Mother: Pat Terry of Ridgeland; Step Brother: Dean Roberts of Ridgeland, and Step Sister: Dana Dziadaszek of Yemassee.

Nieces: Kay Lovett, Michelle Page, and Candy Hampleton; Nephews: Travis Murdaugh, and Dawson Wooten. There are 4 great nephews and 2 great nieces.

Mr. Terry was predeceased by his parents, and a Sister: Tressy Wooten.

Memorial Services will be 11 A.M. Thursday in the Hickory Grove Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. R.P. Hodge and Rev. Billy Poovey, and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.

Visitation will follow the services at the Church Thursday.
