John Henry Rizer

John Henry Rizer, 63, of Ehrhardt, SC passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at his residence.

Mr. Rizer was born May 16, 1956 in Bamberg, son of the late Thomas P. and Bernice Arnold Rizer of Ehrhardt.  He had retired from Delavan United Technologies (UTI) of Bamberg and was a lifetime farmer.  He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by one brother:  Thomas (Skeet) Rizer (JoEtta) of Ehrhardt;  one sister:  Mary Rizer Fleetwood (Dean) of Barnwell, one niece:  Stephanie Lynn Rizer of Shiloh, NC;  one nephew:  Earl Dean (Fleety) Fleetwood, Jr. of Charleston;  two great-nephews:  Avery Rizer and Nathan Thomas of Shiloh, NC.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Friday at Hickory Grove Baptist Church located at 125 Hickory Grove Road, Brunson, SC with burial in the Rizer Family Cemetery near Ehrhardt conducted by Rev. R.P. Hodge.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton and beginning at 2 PM Friday when the casket will be placed in the church prior to services.
