John Franklin Marsh

Mr. John Franklin Marsh, 81 of Dundee Court in Martinez, Georgia, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Marsh was born June 03, 1943, in Hampton County.  He was the son of the late Frank Marsh and Bessie Fennell Marsh.  He faithfully served his country as a Marine and retired after working many years for Norfolk Southern Railroad as a Senior Forman.  Mr. Marsh was a devout Christian for all of his life and met his wife through the Church of God.

Surviving are his daughter:  Crystal Marsh Allen, of Martinez, Georgia; his two grandchildren:  McKenzie Kate Allen and Wesley Ryan both of Martinez, Georgia, and a sister:  Edna Marsh Smith of Hampton.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Marsh was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Mullenax Marsh, who passed away in 2019.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2024, in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street, West, Hampton, SC  29924, with burial in Hampton Cemetery.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the Chapel.

In lieu of donations, Mr. Marsh loved his grandchildren more than anything in this life and it was his wish to request donations to help his grandchildren continue chasing their dreams.
