John Flagg

Mr. John Martin Flagg, 79, resident of Tinker Town Road in Brunson, died peacefully at his residence, Sunday night, July 21, 2024, after an extended illness.

Born September 30, 1944, in Newark, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Martin Flagg and Mary Riley Flagg.  Mr. Flagg was a proud veteran of the US Army.  He worked as a general contractor and master carpenter and will be remembered by his family for his outstanding carpentry abilities.

Mr. Flagg was a member of Bellinger United Methodist Church where he was active in the church. He was also a proud member of the Elks Club in New Jersey and former member of the Brunson Lions Club.

John is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Barbara Eckholt Flagg, his three sons: Barry Flagg (wife Amber) of Rincon, GA; John Flagg of Berlin, NJ, and Troy Flagg (wife Stephanie) of Berlin, NJ; his stepdaughter: Suzanne Hervey of Brunson; a brother: George Flagg of Brunson; six adored grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Bellinger United Methodist Church located at 634 Old Orangeburg Rd., Fairfax, SC 29827.
