Jesse Riley Freeman

Mr. Jesse Riley Freeman, 64, of Woody Lane in Hampton died Friday afternoon at his residence after an extended illness.

Mr. Freeman was born April 16, 1954 in Hampton County, a son of the late Jesse and Eula Priester Freeman.  He was a carpenter with Brunson Construction Company for many years and enjoyed fishing and gardening.  He was a member of Varnville First Christian Church.

Surviving are:  his wife:  Demetrius Stanley of Hampton; adopted sons:  Daniel Drawdy of Varnville, Porter Drawdy of Nixville and Troy Lamb of Coosawhatchie;  sisters:  Doris Lorene Freeman and Mary Marguerite Freeman both of Hampton;  and a brother:  Archie Freeman of Hampton.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Monday in the Rivers Cemetery conducted by Rev. Mike Freeman and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.

Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 5 to 8 pm at the Chapel in Hampton located at 300 Mulberry Street West.
