Jeremy Lee Bowers

Jeremy Lee Bowers, 47, of Pond Town Road in Hampton, South Carolina, died unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

Born in Savannah Georgia on February 10, 1977, Jamey, as he was called in those early years, was the son of Jimmy Lee Bowers and Cathy Forbes Bowers Pope. Jeremy leaves behind his wife of 26 years, Debra Ann Fail Bowers and his sons, Justin Tyler Parker and Trenton Lee Bowers, all of Hampton; his sister, Annette Bowers Griswold of Brunson; and niece Autumn Grace Griswold of Savannah, Georgia. Other surviving relatives include Eugene and Dosha Morris of Fairfax; William and Kelly Fail and their family of Greenville; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as his partners in crime, Neil Nettles and Robert Pulaski of Hampton and Roy Marr of Sheldon.

He was predeceased by his parents; his parents in law, Gene and Debbie Fail; his stepfather, Thomas Pope; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Griswold.

To know Jeremy was to love him. Let's face it. He didn't hide who he was for anyone. He was in fact, himself, and there was no one else like him. Most folks knew him around town as the Advance Auto parts man who drove the ole blue Ford Ranger and would willingly go that extra mile for each and every customer, regardless of whether he knew them or not. Looking under the hood, getting down on the ground. Heck, most of the time he didn't even have to look at your vehicle to diagnose the issue. You could just tell him what was happening and he would know what you needed and how to fix it. He wore motor oil on his chest and hands like a badge of honor. When he left work, it was time for him to pop open a cold one (or more) and go home to tinker around in the yard working on one of his many projects. Jeremy was also a dancing fool. He loved good music and could not restrain himself from hitting the dance floor when he heard the right song. He enjoyed binge watching shows and series, playing video games, and karaoke. Most people in the area probably have a favorite song or two that he would sing. No one liked talking on the phone like Jeremy did. You would say goodbye and I love you about 30 times in one conversation, but he would talk until one or both of the phones' batteries depleted. He had many nicknames over the years, including Mucho, JuneBug, JLB, Bad Boy Bowers, Bro, BabyBro, Jay (and a few others we can't name aloud) but by far his favorites were husband to his wife and dad to his sons.

A private service will be held for immediate family only, but EVERYONE is invited to join the family after the service for lunch and remembrance beginning at 12 noon on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 700 Harter Road in Fairfax.

Memorial contributions can be sent to the address provided.

A public memorial gathering will be held at a later date in Jeremy's honor.
