Jenny Lynne Phillips Cannon

Ms. Jenny Lynne Phillips Cannon of Old Orangeburg Road in Sycamore, died early Saturday morning at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.

Jenny was born in Hampton County May 30, 1960, a daughter of Ellen Deery Phillips Freeman and the late James William "Jimmy" Phillips, Jr.  She was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School and had earned her Associates Degree from the University of South Carolina.  She was working with Hampton County Emergency Medical Services as an Emergency Medical Technician for the past 8 years and was a member of the Fairfax First Baptist Church.  She enjoyed her cats, crocheting and dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving besides her mother of North, SC are:  son:  Frank Carroll "Cal" Cannon, IV and wife Crystal of Kline;  daughter:  Heather C. Bessinger and husband Jeremey of Sycamore;  brother:  Dr. James William "Bill" Phillips, III and wife Stacey of Columbia;  sister:  Elizabeth "Beth" Phillips of Brunson;  grandchildren;  Jeremey Allen Bessinger, Jr., Wilder Finn Bessinger, Christopher Kenneth Morris, Colyn James Morris and Cailyn Denise Morris;  step-father:  Lucius "Buddy" Freeman;  nieces and nephews:  Blaine Steinmeyer, Brianna Phillips, Cami Phillips, Bryce Phillips and Payton Phillips.

Memorial services will be 4:00 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton, conducted by Rev. Kenneth Dodson.

Visitation will be Monday at the Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton from 5 to 7 PM.
