Jeffery Scott Jarrell

Mr. Jeffery Scott Jarrell, 59, of Broad Street in Brunson, died Tuesday evening, August 6, 2019 in Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah.

Mr. Jarrell was born November 10, 1959 in Hampton, a son of the late Clyde Jarrell, Jr. and Mary Ann Sullivan Jarrell.  He had retired from Westinghouse in Hampton after 25 years of service and had coached Little League football, baseball and soccer for 25 years.  He had served on the Brunson Fire Department for 15 years and also, was an Emergency Medical Technician for Hampton County.  Mr. Jarrell was a member of the Brunson United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Elaine Long Jarrell of Brunson; son:  Scott Jarrell and wife Megan of Hampton; daughters:  Nikki Hudson and husband Dave of Belhaven, NC, and Allyson Rivers and husband Jason of Varnville; brother:  Billy Jarrell and wife Nancy of Brunson;  and sister:  Jen DeLoach of Varnville;  grandchildren:  Kailee, Hank, Payton, Alexis, Autumn, Emmalynn, Aubrey, Jaxon and Joseph.  Mr. Jarrell was predeceased by his parents and a daughter, Renee Simmons.

Funeral services will be 4:30 Friday in the Brunson United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Carol Holladay and Rev. Dr. Tommy Kelly with burial in the Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery in Hampton.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
