Jeanette R. Stone

Mrs. Jeanette Rowe Stone, 82, of Co-Op Road West in Hampton, died Wednesday, June 12th after an extended illness.

Mrs. Stone was born October 17, 1936 in Townsend, Georgia, a daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice Sutton Rowe.  She was a homemaker and member of the Hampton Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving are her son: Robert O. Stone, Jr. and wife Jill of Nashville, Tennessee; daughter: Tammy Stone of St. Stephens; sisters: Brenda Harrell of Varnville, Linda Matthews of Varnville, Sue Rohweller of North Carolina, Diane Whitten of Hampton and Shirley Lamb of Walterboro; and one brother: Ben Rowe of Walterboro.  There are 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Stone was predeceased by her husband, Robert Orel Stone, Sr. and a son, Roger Wayne Stone.

Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday at the Spirit of Life Ministries Church located in Varnville with visitation beginning at 11 AM prior to the services at the Church.  Burial will follow at the Hampton Cemetery.  Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton is assisting the family with the service.
