Jayce Hatfield

Cameron "Jayce" Hatfield, 6, of Mullings Ford Road near Brunson, died Wednesday afternoon, January 20, 2021.

Jayce was born November 5, 2014 in Beaufort, a son of David Cameron Hatfield and Victoria Rose LaBar.  He was a kindergarten student at Fennell Elementary School in Yemassee and had attended Spirit of Life Church near Varnville.

Jayce loved the study of Paleontology and could name most species of dinosaurs.  He loved nature and spent most of his time fishing and playing with his cousins.  He loved Jesus and prayed for his family every night.  His grandparents stood in line waiting for their visit.  Jayce loved his family very much.

Surviving are his parents of Brunson; maternal grandparents Ina Ryan of Beaufort and William and Mary Ruth Kinard LaBar of Yemassee; maternal great-grandparents Sharon J. LaBar and Paul D. Johnson of Leslie, Georgia, Rose Williamson of Ridgeland, David and Ruth Ann Schaffer of Hilton Head and Donald Kinard of Grays; paternal great-grandparents LaVane and Penny Barnes of Seabrook; uncles Landon Kinard, Gabriel White, William LaBar, Dylan LaBar and Jonathan Barnes and his wife Joesee and their children Collin and Benjamin; aunts Madilyn Hatfield, Katlynn LaBar and Victoria Kinard Owen of Augusta, Georgia.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, but friends may call at the grandparents' residence.
