James E. Youmans

Amidst good friends and the outstanding beauty of Alaska, James E. Youmans passed away on August 2, 2018 in Anchorage.

Eddie was born August 25, 1950 in Varnville, SC to the late LaGree and Evelyn Youmans.  He graduated from Wade Hampton High School and attended Clemson University.  Ed returned to the local area for a few years as an electronics associate with Mr Berman Woods.  Ed left the local area for Okatie, SC and a new position as the electrical engineer for the Fox TV station in Savannah, GA.  In 2011, Ed accepted a job offer in Anchorage, Alaska where he lived until his death.  He is preceded in death by his parents Benjamin L. Youmans and Evelyn M. Youmans.

He is survived by his brothers David C. Youmans (wife Debbie) and Richard G. Youmans (wife Sheila), and sister Dorothy Crapse.

He will be interred beside his parents in Hopewell Baptist Church cemetery.

A visitation and time of remembrance will be held August 28, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Peeples Rhoden Funeral home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton, SC.
