James Allen Stanley

Mr. James Allen Stanley, 68, resident of Mill Pond Road near Varnville, SC, passed away early Saturday morning, October 25, 2025, at his residence.

Born July 14, 1957, in Hampton County, Mr. Stanley was the son of the late John Harold Stanley and Ethel Campbell Stanley Davis. He attended the public schools of Hampton County and John de la Howe school in McCormick, SC and worked as a mechanic and carpenter most of his life. Mr. Stanley was a very hardworking man who will be remembered by his family for the value of hard work he instilled in them as well as being a "jack of all trades". He loved fishing, talking on his CB radio with others throughout Hampton County where he had the CB handle "Knight Rider" and loved riding his motorcycle every chance he possibly could. Most of all, Mr. Stanley will be remembered for the love he had for his family; especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Stanley was a Christian and faithfully attended Varnville Christian Church.

Surviving is his son, Christopher Lee Stanley (Kim) of Yemassee; his daughters: Tabitha Renee Stanley Dilling (Aaron) of Ehrhardt and April Nichole Stanley Dyer (Steven) of Brunson; his beloved grandchildren: Gabby Stanley, Megan Alexandra Tymeson, Gunner James Dilling, Elizabeth Nichole Dyer, and Olivia Jean Dyer; his step-grandchildren:  Anthony Rivera, Tia Portman (Gleason Cooke), Destiny Daniel (Jimmy); one great-grandson, Jake Junior Floyd, his four brothers: Don Michael Stanley, Sr., John Harold Stanley, Jr., C.W. Stanley (Tabitha), and Ricky Davis (Dawn), as well as three sisters: Lydia Stanley Cook, Libby Stanley Priester, and Windy Stanley. There are also two special cousins, Larry Prince and Arlene Simmons, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who survive.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Stanley was predeceased by two grandchildren, Ethen John Stanley and Anna Marie Tymeson, and one brother, Carl Stanley.

Funeral Services will be 11 AM Friday, October 31, 2025, in the Varnville Christian Church conducted by Pastor Mike Freeman. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10 AM Friday and last until the hour of the service in the church sanctuary.

Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the Stanley family during this time.
