Mr. Norman Padgett, 77, of Moselle Road near Islandton, died early Wednesday morning in the Pruitt Health Care Facility in Estill.
Mr. Padgett was born November 21, 1940 in Moselle, a son of the late Monnie Lee Padgett and Mary Edith Sauls Padgett. He had retired from J.P. Stevens in Walterboro as a weaver and was a member of the Moselle Church of God of Prophecy where he enjoyed singing.
Surviving are: his wife: Vonnie Barnes Padgett of Moselle; Daughter: Brenda Davis and husband Dale of Moselle; Sons: Jimmy Padgett and fiance' Christine Blakenship of Cottageville and Lee Padgett and wife Kristy of Hampton; brother: Harry Padgett and wife Dean of Ruffin; grandchildren: Bailey Padgett, Noah Catterton, Payton and Justin Padgett: and daughter-in-law: Tina Catterton. He was predeceased by a brother: Jimmy Padgett.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday in the Moselle Church of God conducted by Rev. Wayne Varnadoe and Rev. Michael Polk with burial in the Carters Ford Baptist Church Cemetery in Lodge, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.
Visitation will be Friday after 6 PM at the Moselle Church of God on Moselle Road in Moselle.
