James Harley Lott, Sr.

Mr. James Harley "J.H." Lott, Sr., 84, resident of Thomas Hamilton Road near Brunson, SC, husband of Vickie Lott, passed away Sunday evening, September 21, 2025, in the Hampton Regional Medical Center.

Born May 12, 1941, in Coffee County, Georgia, Mr. Lott was a son of the late Johnny Lott and Rebecca Pearl Barrow Lott. He was a graduate of Lakeview High School and retired after working many years in manufacturing with Continental Can Co in Winter Garden, Florida. Mr. Lott was an avid outdoorsman and hard worker who instilled values of hard work, high morale, and strong ethics into his family. He will be remembered for his love of fishing and hunting, but will most be remembered for the deep love he shared for his family.

Mr. Lott was a devout Christian and was of the Baptist faith, having attended church regularly with his beloved wife.

Surviving in addition to his adored wife of 62 years, Mrs. Vickie Beverly McAllister Lott, of the home, is his daughter, Debbie Lott DeLoach (Gary) of Opp, Alabama; his two sons, James Harley Lott, Jr. (Elaine) of Clermont, Florida and Michael Thomas Lott of Winter Garden, Florida; 7 grandchildren: Brandon DeLoach (Davona), James H. Lott, III (Whitney), Alyssa Cannizzo (Ryan), Eric Gardner (Lindsey), Dave Gardner, Chris Gardner (Amanda), and Ashley Gardner, and 7 great-grandchildren: Bradon, Aubrie, Owen, Taylor, Levi, Declan, and Leia. Mr. Lott is also survived two sisters, Corine Glyzinski and Glenda Diane Stevens, and special extended family: Chris and Denise Salmon, and Tanya Simmons

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lott is predeceased by several siblings:  Floyce Duke Day, MaryRae Buckner, Johnny Paul Lott, Elisha Lott, Daisy Pearl Smoak, George Center Lott, Benjamin Franklin Lott, Jerry Lott, Millard Lott, Wanda Gail Young.

Graveside Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in the St. Paul Cemetery located at 150 Country Club Road in Hampton.

Pallbearers will be Brandon DeLoach, Bradon DeLoach, James Lott, III, and Gary Kelley.

Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the Lott family during this time.
