James Harold Adams Jr.

Mr. James Harold Adams Jr. of Yemassee, died early Monday morning at his residence after a brief illness.
Mr. Adams, known simply as "Harold" to friends and family, was born January 5, 1961 in Colleton County, a son of late James Harold Adams Sr. and Chessie Lee Revves Adams.
After graduation Harold became a Jack of all trades.  His early jobs, which he held down while still in school, included house painting.  Nobody could paint a house (interior or exterior) better than Harold.
When he wasn't hard at work, Harold enjoyed hunting and found peace while fishing at the Combahee River.
Whatever he did, he was all in!  He was clever and full of knowledge which allowed him to fix or build just about anything, and if he didn't know how, he would figure it out!
Harold was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he had an enormous heart and a contagious sense of humor.  He was generous, loyal and brave.  If anybody needed anything Harold would be there in a heartbeat.
He will be remembered as a hard worker, a loyal friend, a teacher and he will be missed dearly by those who knew him best.
In typical Harold fashion, there are no services planned, certainly no pomp and circumstance.  A private celebration of life will occur with close family and friends.
As Harold would say "A'ight then, see y'all later"  We look forward to that day.

Surviving are:  Brother:  Christopher Ted Adams of Yemasee, and a Sister:  Judy Crosby of Grays.

Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the family.
