Imogene Deloach Brunson

Mrs. Imogene DeLoach Brunson of the Nixville Community near Estill, died Saturday evening at the home of her son in Jasper County.

Mrs. Brunson was born July 11, 1935 in Hampton County, a daughter of the late Edward and Janie Hadwin Deloach. She and her Husband had operated the Brunson Service Station in Estill for many years, and later worked and retired from the Pruitt Health Care Facility in Estill. She was a member of the Steep Bottom Baptist Church.

Surviving are: Her sons: Wayne Brunson and wife Dorothy of Early Branch, and James Brunson of Hampton:Grandchildren: Waynette Mabry(Ron), Jay Brunson(Amanda), Scott Brunson(Karen), Faye Lowther (Krey), Lance Brunson (Julie), and Marie Williams (Laverne); Seventeen Great Grandchildren, and Three Great Great Grandchildren.

Mrs. Brunson was predeceased by her parents, her husband,Luther Brunson; Sisters: Tilly Herndon, and Dorothy Deloach; and her Daughter in Law, Ruth Brunson. Graveside services will be 2 P.M. Thursday February 9,2023 at the Steep Bottom Baptist Church Cemetery neat Estill, conducted by Rev. Jay Brunson, and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.  Visitation will be immediately following the service at the Cemetery.
