Homer Heape

Mr. Homer Heape, 87, of McMillan Road in Brunson, died early Monday morning, January 20, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Heape was born January 20, 1933 in Hampton County, a son of the late William L. Heape and Tilla Barnes Heape.  He retired from Westinghouse Corporation in Hampton and was a farmer.  Mr. Heape was a member of Sandy Run Baptist Church and enjoyed working after his retirement with his son conducting auctions.

Surviving are his wife:  Catherine Ann Kinard Heape of Brunson; son:  William Heape of Hampton; grandson:  Justin W. Heape of Hampton; and Niece:  Mae Kinard and husband Carl of Brunson.  Mr. Heape was predeceased by a sister Rosa Mae Loper.

Graveside services will be 4 PM Wednesday in the Sandy Run Cemetery conducted by Rev. LeWayne Weaver and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.

Visitation will be Wednesday beginning at 1 PM prior to services at the Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
