Helen Paulette Smith Crosby

HAMPTON DATELINE:

Mrs. Helen Paulette Smith Crosby of Hopewell Road near Hampton, passed early Thursday morning at her residence.

Mrs. Crosby was born March 18, 1947 in Hampton, a daughter of the late Preston Smith and Hattie Robinson Smith. She retired from a local Garment Company as a Seamstress, and was a member of the Hampton 1st Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and was the widow of Willie Crosby.

Surviving are: Son: Randy Crosby Sr. of Grays; Daughter: Kimberly Brunson and husband Joseph of Hampton; Brother: Tommy Smith of Greys; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Crosby was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and Brothers and Sisters: Louise Mixson, Bobbie Jean Kinard, Gettis Smith, and Rufus Smith.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Gilbert Linder, with burial in the Hampton Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday from 5 to 7 P.M. at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
