Mrs. Caroline Helen Cook, 88, of Park Street died Wednesday morning June 23, 2021 at her residence in Varnville, South Carolina.
Mrs. Cook was born May 20, 1933 in Summerville, a daughter of the late Homer Lamar Harper and Caroline Kornahrens Harper. She was a kindergarten teacher and owner of Jack-in-the-Box preschool where she taught for many years. She was a member of Hampton United Methodist Church where she was a dedicated Sunday School teacher and a MYF leader for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her sons, Greg Cook and wife Lynn Cook of Hampton; Todd Cook and his wife Lynn Cook of Knowles Island ; grandchildren: Tracey Cook Wall (Jason), Rebecca Carolina Cook, Matthew Harper Cook, Henry Nicholas Still, III (Kaesi) and Asa Mackenzie Still (Lindsey) ; great-grandchildren: Emily, Jake, Hunter, Wilder, and Riley; a brother Lamar Harper (Maxie Lee) and one sister Gwen Barnes.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Wilbur Cook and brother, Arnold Kornahrens Harper.
Funeral services will be held Monday June 28, 2021 at 2 PM in the Hampton United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. John Culp and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Varnville Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM at the church prior to the service.
