Harold Crosby

Mr. Harold Edwin Crosby Sr. of Clifton Drive in the Hopewell Community near Estill, died early Tuesday morning at his residence.

Mr. Crosby was born January 5, 1950 in Ridgeland, a son of the late Robert Lee Edward Crosby, and Sarah Elizabeth Moseley and her husband Tom Moseley. He was a Navy Veteran and served on the U.S.S. Graham County. Mr. Crosby had retired from International Paper Company, and was a member of the Hopewell 1st Baptist Church.

Surviving are: His wife Elizabeth "Libby" McMillan Crosby of the home; Sons: Gregory Crosby of Burr Oak, Michigan and Harold Edwin Crosby Jr. and wife Janet of Estill; Daughter: Hannah Smith and Husband Brandon of Brunson; Brother: Robert Ellison Crosby and wife Wanda of Estill; Sister: Jennifer C. Holland and husband Josh of Crystal River, Florida; Grandchildren: Landin Crosby of Estill; Kaylin Carroll and husband Zach of Cummings, and Alexus Crosby of Estill; and Four Great grandchildren: Liam, Ryder, Zachery, and Emmersynn Carroll of Cummings.

Mr. Crosby was predeceased by his parents, and a Brother, Tommy Crosby.

Graveside services will be 11 A.M. Friday in the Hopewell Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Mike Freeman.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 7 P.M. at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
