George Adolph Dobson

LURAY:     Mr. George Adolph Dobson of Society Street in Luray, died Friday in the Norwood V.A. Medical Center in Augusta.

Mr. Dobson was born April 19, 1941 in Jasper County, a son of the late Ernest Lee Dobson and Lillie Maude Tuten Dobson.  He was a Plumber and Pipe Fitter, and was the owner and operator of Palmetto Plumbing Company of the Lowcountry.  He was an Army veteran and had attended Luray Christian Church.

Surviving are:  His wife:  Clara Ethel Hughes Dobson of Luray; Sons: Dewayne E. Dobson and wife Theresa of Brunson, George M. Dobson and wife Vivian of Hilton Head, and Paul Daniel Dobson of Brunson; Sisters: Linda Dobson Braxton of Tennessee, Joyce Dobson Collins Weir of Hampton, and Ernestine Dobson Harter Glenn of Hampton; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Mr. Dobson was predeceased by his parents and a brother:  Eddie Dobson.

Private family graveside services will be 10 A.M. Monday at his residence in Luray, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.
