Gene David Cook, Sr.

Mr. Gene David Cook, Sr. of Wagon Wheel Road, Hampton passed away Wednesday evening at Hampton Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Cook was born December 30, 1961 in Hampton, South Carolina, a son of Joseph Frank Cook, Sr. and Betty Jean Brunson Cook.  He was a truck driver; he enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the Motorcycle Riding and Go Kart Racing Club.  He was a member of Open Arms Fellowship.

Surviving are his wife, Angela Lynn Altman, sons, Gene David Cook, Jr. and wife Jennifer and Bryce Rogers , daughters, Heather Lawson and husband Jimmy, Fallon Smith and husband Derrick and Brittany Allison and husband Wesley; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Breanna, Kyra, Dallas, J. J., Hunter, Ethan, Sophie, Peyton, Aiden, Nathan, Autumn, Austin, Ariana, Ryan, Madison and Bryson and 5 great grandchildren; brother, Doug Cook, Sr. and wife Bonnie and sister Linda Smith: along with many nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by brothers Harrison Cook, Frank Cook, Jr. and Eddie Cook.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 07, 2024 at Open Arms Fellowship Center and burial at Sandy Run Cemetery, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.   Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, located at 300 Mulberry Street West, Hampton
