Frankie Thomas Caldwell

Mrs. Frankie Thomas Caldwell of Ellis Street in Hampton died Friday in the Bayview Nursing Center in Beaufort.

Mrs. Caldwell was born January 1, 1929 in Hampton County, a daughter of the late J. Frank Thomas and Elihugh Sauls Thomas.  She had retired from Best Manufacturing Company as a Supervisor after 35 years of service.  Mrs. Caldwell was a member of the Hampton First Baptist Church where she was active with the Clothes Closet Ministry.    She was the widow of Robert James Caldwell, Jr.

Surviving are:  daughters:  Jackie Deemer and husband Tom of Rincon, Georgia, Mary Jarrell and husband Mack of Estill, SC, Barbara Terry and husband Steve of Hampton, SC, and Sandi Idleman and husband Scott of Savannah, Georgia;  sister:  Eleanor Ashworth of Atlanta, Georgia;  6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home with burial in the Sandy Run Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday prior to services beginning at 12:30 PM at the Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
