GIFFORD:      Mrs. Frances Hoff Ginn, wife of the late Robert Wesley Lee Ginn, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, February 14, 2024 at her home in Gifford, under hospice care, with her family by her side.  She was 96.

Mrs. Ginn was born in Colleton County January 7, 1928 a daughter of the late Hiram Benjamin Hoff and Mattie Iola Barr Hoff.  She was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother, always focusing her life on the needs of her family.  She was an excellent seamstress and cook, and loved spending time outdoors fishing and farming.  Mrs. Ginn truly possessed a "green thumb" and was known by her family and friends as an excellent gardener.  She was a member of Beech Branch Baptist Church, and although she experienced hardships and great loss throughout her life, she never wavered in her Christian faith, or her love for her Lord.

She is survived by her children:  Sandra E. Hickman of Leesville, Harold C. Eadie of Gifford, Janet L. Ginn of Barnwell, Milton D. Ginn (Starr) of Gifford, Jimmy D. Ginn of Gifford, Catherine Ginn Robertson of Nebraska, and Renee Ginn Wing of Massachusetts.  There is a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her beloved husband, Mrs. Ginn was preceded in death by six children:  Gail E. Saunders, David K. Eadie, Carroll S. Eadie, Larry F. Eadie, Jacob F. Eadie, and Robert "Bob" Ginn Jr.  She was also predeceased by her siblings Margaret Hoff Drawdy, J.B. Hoff, and Pete Hoff.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Cynthia Rowell Wilson for being such a special friend and caregiver, and also to S.C. House Calls and Agape Hospice for the excellent care they gave to Mrs. Ginn during her illness and passing.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, February 18, 2024 at 2:00 in the chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in the Beech Branch Cemetery.  The family will receive friends during a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 at the funeral home, located at 300 Mulberry Street in Hampton.
