Mrs. Frances Louise Donehue Proveaux of Pond Town Road, died Friday in the Medical University Hospital in Charleston after an extended illness.
Mrs. Proveaux was born July 21, 1938 in Brunson, a daughter of the late Herman David Donehue and Elverta Crosby Donehue Hodge. She had retired from Westinghouse Corp. in Hampton after 30 years of service as a Press Operator. She was a member of the Brunson Baptist Church and was the widow of Honie M. Proveaux.
Surviving are: Son: Ronnie Proveaux and wife Wanda of Brunson; Daughters: Mary Cook and husband David of Brunson, Shirley Hill and husband Tommy of Savannah, and Teresa Proveaux of Rincon, Georgia; Brother: Jerry Donehue of Allendale; Sister: Betty Hodge of Cross; Grandchildren: Jeffrey and Timmy Cook, Brittany Hill and Lindsay Daughtry. There are 12 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. Mrs. Proveaux was prececeased by a sister, Jamie Youmans and a brother, David Eugene Donehue.
Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Monday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton, conducted by Rev. R.P. Hodge with burial in the Rivers Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday beginning at 2 P.M. prior to services.
