Faye Long

Mrs. Faye Richardson Long, 86, of the Crocketville community in Hampton County, died Tuesday, May 4, 2021 in Laurel Baye Healthcare in Blackville.

Mrs. Long was born August 15, 1934 in Ehrhardt, a daughter of the late Laurie B. Richardson and Gladys Rivers Richardson.  She was a homemaker but had also worked with her mother selling subscriptions for the Hampton County Guardian.  She dearly loved her family and pet dogs.

Surviving is her son, Bart Long and wife Cathy of Prosperity; her daughter, Nancy Duggan of Goose Creek;  her sister, Dot Hiers of Ehrhardt; and her grandchildren, Laurel Quinn, Ashley Duggan and Jared Long.  There are 5 great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Long was predeceased by her husband, Jack Sauls Long.

Graveside services will be 2 PM Friday, May 7, 2021 at Crocketville Cemetery directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday from 11 to 12 noon at the Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton followed by the service at the cemetery.
