Eugene Morrison Lawton

Mr. Eugene Morrison Lawton, 72, resident of Silversprings Road in North, SC, died Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at his residence.

Born September 26, 1953, in Hampton, SC, Mr. Lawton was the son of the late Winston Alven "Streak" Lawton and Sarah Morrison Lawton. He was also a member of Lawtonville Baptist Church in Estill.

Surviving is his daughter, Virginia Stack; his son, Eugene Winston Chavis; his brother, Winston Lawton and wife Anne of Estill, and his two sisters, Richiedine "Deanie" DuBose and husband Carroll of Columbia and Frances Lawton and husband Charles, also of Columbia. There are also several grandchildren and other relatives who survive.

Graveside Services will be 11 AM Thursday, February 26, 2026, in the Lawtonville Cemetery in Estill, conducted by Rev. Asbury Lawton.
