Mr. Edward H. "Bo" Way, 82, of Savannah Highway in Furman died Monday in the Colleton Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Way was born December 23, 1936 in Savannah, Georgia, a son of the late Bert and Jenny Viola Williams Way. He had served in the National Guard, was a former Constable, and was the owner and operator of Way's Grocery in Furman for 49 years. He was a member of Steep Bottom Baptist Church.
Surviving are: his wife: Shirley Bowers Way of Furman; daughters: Cheryl Harriott and husband Ervin of Furman, Teresa Ginn and husband Bobby of Nixville, and Tammy McCrary and husband Dwayne of Furman; grandchildren: Wendy Habersham and husband Duke, Cary Harriott and wife Karla, Robby Ginn and wife Amanda, Heather Altman and husband Sammy, Candice McCrary, and Chad McCrary and wife Holly; great-grandchildren: Brayden Ginn, Lucas Ginn, Coleman Harriott, and Lucy Harriott.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Robert Etheridge and Rev. Scottie Redd with burial in the Gillisonville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
