Edna Mae Donathan

Mrs. Edna Mae Holyfield Donathan, 79, of Thorn Circle near Estill, died Friday morning, September 27, 2019 at her residence after an extended illness.

Mrs. Donathan was born January 9, 1940 in Estill, a daughter of the late Wilbur Franklin Holyfield and Mary Edna Cook Holyfield.  She was a homemaker, a member of Lighthouse Church near Hampton and was active with the Senior Citizens Group.  She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her sons:  Jon Scott Donathan, Sr. and wife Tammy of Estill, Ralph Edwin Dillard of Dewey, Oklahoma, and Steven Ray Dillard of Muskogee, Oklahoma;  daughters:  Mary Elizabeth Tate and husband Randy of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Sandra Faye Dillard of Boerne, Texas;  grandchildren:  Jon Scott Donathan, Jr. and wife Christina, Derrick Anthony Donathan and wife Courtney, and Ralph Steven Dillard;  great-grandchildren:  Stephany Nicole Donathan, Kaley Michelle Donathan, Layla Marie Donathan, Alyssa Janae Donathan, Ariel Brooke Donathan, Mya Renae Dillard and Ayden Isaiah Dillard.  Mrs. Donathan was predeceased by her parents; a daughter: Gale Sue Dillard; and two brothers:  Harold Lee Holyfield, Sr. and Ralph Eugene Holyfield.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Dewey Shaffer with burial in the Lawtonville Cemetery in Estill.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 PM at the Chapel located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
