Ms. Dorothy Ann (Dot Dot) Parnelle Peeples of Estill, SC passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Hampton Regional Hospital in Hampton, SC after a long illness and battle with pneumonia.  Dot was born on May 22, 1925 in Estill, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Henry Claude Parnelle and Annie Lucille Givens Parnelle.  She graduated from Estill High School and received a two year business degree from Winthrop College.  Dot was widowed at a very young age to John Louis Peeples, Jr. and spent most of her adult working life as a bookkeeper at Harpers Truck and Tractor Dealership and continued at Mikell's, Inc.  She was also a piano teacher with E. Davis Powers School of Music and taught private piano lessons as well.  She touched the lives of many young people with her love of music.  Dot was a very active member of the Estill Presbyterian Church where she was married, reared her children, and passionately played the piano and later the organ for many years.  Dot was an avid sports fan attending all of her children's sporting events at Estill High School and her adopted children at Patrick Henry Academy.  Being an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, she is smiling in heaven with their trip to the World Series.

She is survived by her three children; John Louis Peeples, III, Christopher Alton Peeples (Linda), Caroline (Kay) Peeples Luthren (Randy), her brother; Jack C. Parnelle, Grandchildren; Hannah Peeples, Juan Peeples, Randall Ryan Luthren, Lindsey Taylor Luthren, Mamie Caroline Luthren Kostick, and 8 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Life Service will be held at 4PM on Wednesday, October 27th at Lawtonville Cemetery with a visitation to follow at the home of Dorothy P. Peeples, 165 Clarke Ave., Estill, SC 29918.   Memorials may be made to Estill Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 306, Estill, SC 29918. Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
