Dorothy Harriott

Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Anderson Harriott, 92, of Early Branch, died early Saturday morning, August 28, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Harriott was born March 30, 1929 in Hampton County, a daughter of the late John Edward "Eddie" Anderson and Nettie Murdaugh Anderson.  She was manager of the Westinghouse Micarta Lodge in Hampton and retired in June of 1988 after 26 years.  Mrs. Harriott had been a member of Deep Branch Baptist Church for 70 years where she had been a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the W.M.U.

Surviving are her sons, Michael Harriott and Larry Harriott and wife Joyce of Early Branch and Sam Harriott and wife Beth of Yemassee; brother, Gerald Anderson and wife Ann of Early Branch; grandchildren, Lisa Wooten and husband Benjie, Bridgette Stanley and husband Trey, Leslie Cook, Stephanie Harriott, Samuel Harriott and wife Ashley, Christopher Harriott and wife Jessica, Nick Harriott and Jackson Harriott; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Harriott was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Dred Frank Harriott, Jr., son Mark Harriott, brother Marvin Anderson, sister Ruth Elder Terry and a daughter-in-law Joanne Shuman Harriott.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Deep Branch Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Glen Samples with burial in the church cemetery directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at 10 AM Tuesday morning at the church prior to the service.
