Mrs. Doris Tuten DeLoach, 87, of Furman Nixville Parkway near Estill, died Sunday evening in the Ridgeland Nursing Center.
Mrs. DeLoach was born September 7, 1931 in Hampton County, daughter of the late LeVan and Iva Peeples Tuten. She was a homemaker, but also worked with her husband, Joe Bostic DeLoach, at DeLoach Printing Company in Hampton for 14 years. She was a member of the Steep Bottom Baptist Church, Eastern Star Lillie Chapter # 21, and was the widow of Joe Bostic DeLoach, Jr.
Surviving are two sons: Joe DeLoach, III and wife Betty of Varnville and David DeLoach and wife Stephanie of Estill; five daughters: Viree Brown and husband Wayne of Estill, Juanita Freeman and husband Gene of Brunson, Kathy Dempsey and husband Willie of Early Branch, Virginia Douglas and husband Buddy of Hampton, and Mary Cooper and husband Mark of Furman; sister: Lucille Arledge of Varnville; 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great, great-grandchildren. Mrs. DeLoach was predeceased by her husband; her twin sister: Hazel T. Peeples; and a brother: Miles Tuten.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday in the Steep Bottom Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the residence of her son: David DeLoach at 336 Joe DeLoach Lane near Estill.
