Donnie Cook

HAMPTON :    Donald Nathan Cook, of Luray Highway near Hampton, died Monday, November 15, 2021 at his residence with family and loved ones by his side.

Mr. Cook was born in Miley, SC, January 18, 1941 a son of the late Jay Cee and Florence Stanley Cook.  He retired from Westinghouse Corporation and International Paper after thirty-five years of service.  He was a member and Deacon Emeritus of First Christian Church of Hampton.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but loved most of all spending time with his family.

Surviving are:  his wife of fifty-eight years, Betty Smith Cook of Hampton;  Sons, Donald Jay Cook and wife Ricki Lynn of Columbus, GA;  David Bryan Cook and wife Rhonda of Chapin, SC;  Daughter, Kristy Cook Wood and husband Mikel of Beaufort, SC; Grandchildren, Sydney Cook, Daniel Cook and wife Caroline, Adam Cook, Morgan Wood Peeples and husband Chase, Justin Cook, Madison Wood, Andrew Cook, and Matthew Cook; Sister, Linda Cook and husband Marvin of Hampton; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Cook was prececeased by: his Brothers, James, Oswald, Billy, and Claude; and by his sisters, Mary Atkins and Shirley Varnon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the First Christian Church, and conducted by Rev. George Skinner and Rev. Clark Cregger, with burial in the Hampton Cemetery.
