Donald Kinard

Mr. Donald Timothy Kinard, 68, resident of Big Branch Road in Grays, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the home of his daughter.

Born November 13, 1956, in Springfield, Georgia, Mr. Kinard was the son of the late Reverend Harold Jasper Kinard and Demaris Geneva Jarrell Kinard. He began his career as a carpenter at a young age, quickly developing a passion for interior trim and fine carpentry. A true master craftsman, Mr. Kinard took great pride in his work and left a lasting mark through his skill and dedication. Outside of his trade, he was known for his playful spirit and loved sharing laughs by playing pranks on his family. Mr. Kinard found peace and joy in fishing, especially along the Santee River. Above all, he cherished time spent with his loved ones—often bringing them together with the meals he prepared and the warmth he shared.

He attended Church of God of Prophecy in Grays.

Surviving are his children Mary Ruth LaBar and Donald "Donnie" Timothy Kinard, Jr.; his grandchildren: Victoria Kinard Owen, Gabriel White, Landon Kinard, Levi Kinard, Claire Kinard and Liam Kinard; his great-grandchildren, Raegan Owen and Kennedy Owen; his brothers Jack Kinard (Joy) and Harry Kinard; his sister, Sharon Kinard Wilson (Jerome); his sister-in-law, Virgina Kinard; and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kinard is preceded in death by his brothers Douglas Kinard, M.T. Kinard, Floyd Kinard and Billy Kinard; his sister-in-law, Bobbie Jean Kinard.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in the Grays Church of God of Prophecy located at 1405 Big Branch Road, Early Branch, SC 29916.

The family requests that those who wish may send memorials to the Funeral Home.
