Mr. Donald Leon Jones, Jr., 70, of McMillian Road in Brunson, passed away at his residence, Thursday evening, July 18, 2024, after an extended illness.
Born July 26, 1953, in Colleton County, he was the son of the late Donald Leon Jones, Sr. and Celia Jenny Jones. Mr. Jones worked for over 37 years as a bookkeeper; working for Lo - State Tractor for 17 years and Guess Farm Equipment for 20 years. He was a kind man who will be remembered for the love he had for his family.
Mr. Jones was an active member of Fairfax First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his loving wife, Mrs. Deborah Mole Jones, of the home; his son: Nicholas Jones and his wife Felicia of Brunson; 7 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren who he all adored.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was predeceased by his brother: Ricky Jones; his daughter: Janet Jones Reno Jackson, and his son: Jamie R. Jones.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Fairfax First Baptist Church located at 725 7th St. W., Fairfax, SC 29827, with burial in the St. Nicholas Lutheran Church Cemetery, near Fairfax.
A visitation will be held from 5 PM – 7 PM, Friday, July 26, 2024, at the funeral home, 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924.
Pallbearers will be Aden Jones, Trey Jackson, Warren Mole, Jake Runkle, Jerry Cox, Doug Welsh, and Brian Ackerman.
The family requests that those who wish may send memorials in Mr. Jones honor to the Fairfax First Baptist Church, P.O. Drawer 820, Fairfax, SC 29827 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
